DAMBA INTRA - Sustainable Development Partnership Initiative

In the last decade, Indonesia went trough a rapid urbanization and industrialization process during which, little attention was paid to infrastructure planning, environmental conservation and public health protection policies. Thus, pollution and environmental degradation have brought along by this rapid development.

This is starting to change as a better educated and increasingly amount population is not only expecting but also demanding a better environment. During recent years, various initiatives for pollution abatement and control have been started. Individual as well as centralized waste water treatment systems have been constructed nationwide, emphasizing that recycling is one of their desirable long-term goals.

Damba Intra started in West Java, a province surrounding Jakarta Metropolitan City, the capital of Indonesia and home of the strongholds industrial growth from textile industry, petrochemical, automotive,  communications & high-technology, property, agro-industry, small medium enterprise and services; a reality of fact to the region’s robust economic development.

Its rapid urban and economical growth together with the need for cost effective and appropriate solutions toward a sustainable development has brought along the establishment of DAMBA INTRA 'Daur Limbah Industri dan Rumah Tangga' that is committed to the creation of physical infrastructure and operations aimed at The Development of Environmentally Sound and Sustainable Technologies.
